Question ID: 192058
I am trying to find images of a mural by Violet Oakley. The mural was
painted between 1901 and 1902 in the "Church of All Saints" in New
York. The church was demolished in the mid-eighties to erect a bigger
one. All of the churches fixtures and objects d'arte were sold at
public aution (Tiffany windows, Gorham lectern, Oakley mural, etc.)
The mural's name is "The Heavenly Host". SIRIS references the painting
and a study of it, but the images are "not available". I would
appreciate an electronic image. If you locate an image of a head of an
angel, it is only a small piece of the mural which I posted on eBay a
little while ago. I am looking for the complete mural, or studies of
it, or portions other than the angel head (which I already possess).

If not, wehere can we see this image of the head you are speaking of?

Right subject matter, wrong artist. For an example of what Oakley's
work looks like check out

I'll be (hopefully) posting a couple of images within the next few
days to help in the search.

Thanks
