Hi krunali,

Both ChevronTexaco and Royal Dutch/Shell have used the services of
multiple investment banks in the recent past. I have found the names
of three investment banks that have provided services to
ChevronTexaco, and two investment banks that have provided services to
Royal Dutch/Shell. This may not be a complete list, and I may not be
able to find any more investment banks. Would you like me to post
what I have found as an answer?

Regards,
sldreamer

Hi krunali,

ChevronTexaco has used the services of multiple investment banks in
the recent past. These investment banks include the following:

Credit Suisse First Boston
web site: http://www.csfb.com/
investment banking page:
http://www.csfb.com/investment_banking/index.shtml

Lehman Brothers
web site: http://www.lehman.com/
investment banking page: http://www.lehman.com/ibd/index.htm

JPMorgan
web site: http://www.jpmorgan.com/
investment banking page:
http://www.jpmorgan.com/pages/jpmorgan/investbk

Royal Dutch/Shell has also used the services of multiple investment
banks in the recent past. These investment banks include the
following:

Credit Suisse First Boston
web site: http://www.csfb.com/
investment banking page:
http://www.csfb.com/investment_banking/index.shtml

Morgan Stanley
web site: http://www.morganstanley.com/
investment banking page:
http://www.morganstanley.com/institutional/invest_bank/index.html?page=inv_bank

Here is how I determined that the above investment banks have provided
services to ChevronTexaco and/or Royal Dutch/Shell:

The following page has biographies for some of the people in Credit
Suisse First Boston's Mergers and Acquisitions department:

CSFB: Investment Banking: Mergers & Acquisitions: Biographies
http://www.csfb.com/investment_banking/bios/bio_m_and_a.shtml

If you scroll a little more than half way down the page, you will see
the biography for Matthew C. Harris (Managing Director). His
biography states that ChevronTexaco is a client of Credit Suisse First
Boston:
"Mr. Harris is also responsible for a variety of corporate clients
including [...], ChevronTexaco Corporation, [...]"

The following press release on JPMorgan's web site states that
ChevronTexaco selected JPMorgan to be the master custodian for their
pension plan:

JPMorgan Selected by ChevronTexaco Corporation as Master Custodian
(October 18, 2001)
http://www.jpmorgan.com/cm/cs?pagename=Chase/Href&urlname=jpmorgan/investorservices/media/press/pr20011018

The following page lists some of the major merger and acquisition
transactions that Lehman Brothers helped to complete in 2002:

Lehman Brothers: Investment Banking: M&A Deals
http://www.lehman.com/ibd/product/ma.htm

If you look halfway down the list, you will see that Lehman Brothers
helped ChevronTexaco sell their "remaining interests in Equilon
Enterprises LLC and Motiva Enterprises LLC to Shell Oil Company and
Saudi Refining Inc." in a deal worth $3.9 billion.

The following page lists some of the major mining transactions that
Credit Suisse First Boston helped to complete recently:

CSFB: Investment Banking: Industry Expertise: Mining
http://www.csfb.com/investment_banking/industry/mining.shtml

If you look under the Strategic Advisory section, you will see that
Credit Suisse First Boston acted as a "financial advisor to Royal
Dutch/Shell on its $950 million divestiture of its international coal
assets."

The following page lists a few of the transactions that Morgan Stanley
helped to complete in 2002:

Morgan Stanley: Awards: 2002: Firm Provides "Pockets of Brilliance" in
Difficult Year
http://www.morganstanley.com/about/inside/awards/264.html?page=about

If you look near the bottom of the page, you will see that Morgan
Stanley played a role in Royal Dutch/Shell's acquisition of Enterprise
Oil Plc.

If you have any questions about this answer, please request a
clarification before rating it.
