I am looking for an old hymn, but I am unsure of the name of the song.
From what I recall, the words were: from the Manager to the Cross,
the rugged cross, of Calvary, the place where Jesus died for you,and
me all alone. While the world forsakes him ..etc..I remember the tune,
 not all the verses.
I think the name is from the (Manager to the Cross)approximately 1930s
I have been searching for awhile now.Please,help.
                                          Thank You,Smiley2003ga
40s,could be sooner or later.I dont know who recorded it.

Hello smiley2003,

The song is called "From the Manger to the Cross". The complete
lyrics are reprinted here:

"From the manger to the cross"
BluegrassNet

A popular version of the song was performed by Cowboy Copas. They
apparently used a shorter version of the lyrics.

The song was written by Odell McLeod (also known as Mac Odell) and
published by Acuff-Rose in 1950. Mr. McLeod recently passed away.
