I want to create a Family Web Site. I have a Mac, OSX. I tried Yahoo's
Geocities but their tools do not work with Mac. I do not know HTML so
I need page building tools that are idiot proof and a hosting service
built in. I tried Mac's Web Site Service and it is not Good.
Any suggestions? |

thx for the feedback. What I am really trying to find is a consumer
web site building and hosting site (like Geocities) that has easy page
building tools that work with Mac. Geocities Wizards and Tools did not
work with OSX. thx

Hello Kaelen,
Are you looking for something relatively simple at moderate cost? I
did a search of most of the general sites and they are more often
structured for small businesses and not individuals. What I use for a
small presence (a few pages, searched by Google) is .Mac. For example,
://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=site%3Ahomepage.mac.com+%2Bmy&btnG=Google+Search
searches the site
http://homepage.mac.com/
using google using the phrase "my" (as in my pictures, my web page,
...). All the ones ending with "Created with .Mac" were created using
a web interface in a straight forward manner.
If this is what you are looking for - please let me know so I can put
together a proper answer.

I tried the Apple's .Mac Site and Geocities. .Mac was terrible and
Geocities' tools did not work for Mac.
I want a hosting site, with tools that I can use from the mac, to
create a basic site for pictures, home video, newsletter updates,
etc. thx

Would this work?

I haven't tried it with a Mac, but it might be what you're looking for.
