Hi danc, My favorite of all breads anywhere! Did a small search for you, didn't find it - hopefully another researcher will have better luck. Hint: Also search for Stuart Anderson - Black Angus (one and the same restaurant). On one of my visits I inquired what the recipe was and the waitperson did say it was a combination of delicious grains. I don't recall how many or what they were. I think Tlspiegel is right about the bread being made of multiple grains. I seem to remember Black Angus describing it as "8 grain" or "9 grain" when they first introduced it (about 12 years ago ?) as a replacement for their "Ranch Bread." |

Hi again, This is the closest I can find - however only the grains are listed, along with a few other 'hints'... Bakery - Eddie's Breads http://www.stoudtsbeer.com/3-bakery-photos.asp There's a photo of the bread - third row down on the left side of the page. "Multigrain Bread The multigrain is our densest bread. We have combined oats, barley, rye, corn, flax, wheat, sesame & poppy seeds, sunflower & millet to create a nutty and very flavorful bread. The dark molasses adds a sweet finish and rich color to the amber crust." "Our breads contain 100% natural products. We do not add fats, animal products, or preservatives. The sugar used to feed the yeast during the dough making process is a dried malted barley syrup. For some of our featured breads and our soft pretzels we will add a locally harvested honey." "Your local artesanal bread bakery offering hand rolled fresh baked bread Daily!" Adamstown, PA phone: 717 - 484-4386 "orders can be picked up after hours in the Black Angus restaurant." =========================== [Ed] Stoudt's History http://www.stoudtsbeer.com/8-stoudts-history.asp Black Angus Restaurant Celebrates 40 Years Best regards, tlspiegel-ga Google Answers Researcher |
