According to Variety Magazine, the date of death of the American
Operatic singer Ina Souez was December 7, 1992.
Ina Souez, the 1930s operatic toast of Europe who became a dizzy diva
with Spike Jones and his satirical City Slickers after her voice
faded, has died at age 89.
Souez, a soprano, died Dec. 7 at the Santa Monica nursing home where
she had lived the last eight years.

Souez was born Ina Rains to a family of Cherokee descent in Windsor,
Colo.
Souez married once but divorced before the war. There are no immediate
survivors.
A memorial service is scheduled at 2 p.m. Dec. 20 at the Hollywood
First Methodist Church.
