A 1991 movie entitled "Measuring the Roof of the World" told the story
of the Great Survey of India (1802 - 1866). This survey culminated
with the discovery of Mt. Everest in the Himilayas. The movie
apparently appeared at least once on BBC and also here in the US
(probably on PBS). One of the scriptwriters was Audrey Salkeld. The
movie was produced by Horizons Programme. For a good summary of the
Great Survey of India see

This movie was probably similar to a PBS Nova special. I would like
to purchase a copy for home viewing. BBC says that they have no info.

I'm sorry, I searched everywhere using different search strings, but I
can't find no online information regarding where and how to buy or
where to get a copy of this video. A cursory search of the title
yielded only 2 results:

I hope one of my colleagues or a user of this service can help you.
