Where can I find a comprehensive listing of remainder book houses
(wholesalers, not resellers), and businesses that resell large lots of
department store returns?

After visiting numerous links, it appears that by associating yourself
with CIROBE (http://www.cirobe.com), you would be in the loop for
learning the most about the many publishing companies that offer
remainers to resellers.  Also, visiting the link at
http://www.cirobe.com/program/program.html shows a long list of
exhibitors in the left column.  When you click on a name, their
contact information appears with a short explanation of their
remainder titles and terms.

PS  Book returns from department stores would be included in the above
CIROBE listings.  They have a term called "hurt" which applies to
slightly damaged books.  See the CIROBE definition of "What is a

Thank you for this information - it will help with the first part of
my question.  It appears, though, that the second part of my question
was unclear - the department store returns would not involve books -
we are interested in return lots of clothing, particularly ladies
designer labels.  Can you provide sources for this information please?
