What does the Army do with old unuseable T10 parachutes that the
airbourne troops train with. They must have thousands of them that
they can no longer use. I'm looking for a old unuseable 30'chute
w/container & harness for display purposes. Who do I contact to purchase one?

Thanks for your question. Finding full sets, as you may know, is
difficult. I found a source for the full T-10 with container and
harness, but I have also listed some sources for just the chutes as
they are much less expensive.

Here are some sources for the chutes:

Fatigues Army Navy
http://www.fatiguesarmynavy.com/store/item/MS3608
No container and harness. Chute only. 28'

Parachute Shop
http://parachuteshop.com/surplus%20parachutes.htm
30', no lines, no container or harness

Strong Parachutes
http://www.strongparachutes.com/set10sale.html
Full set!

Thanks again for your question. If you need any additional
clarification, please let me know prior to rating my answer.

Thank you for your quick responce to my question. I knew about the
first two leads Fitigues Army-Navy, and The Parachute Shop, but Strong
Parachutes is a one I did not know about and a very good lead indeed.
What I was hoping for was how to purchase the chute directly from the
military. Perhaps at Ft. Benning or Ft. Bragg, if you will. I may be
really reaching here but I was hoping you knew of a way they sold
their old chutes to the public or something like that.

If you visit the Department of Defense Reutilization and Marketing
Service (DRMS) web page at http://www.drms.dla.mil you can see
everything that the DOD is selling in regards to surplus. The items
here, however, are sold in bulk. If you go to
http://www.drms.dla.mil/htbin/government2.pl?FSC=1670&cycle=3 this
page lists the parachutes that are currently available. From looking
at the inventory, it appears they sell the canopy, the harness and the
rigging separately.

Good luck!
