Hello Jefffromgreen,

The first foreign country that President Reagan visited after
being elected President ( Nov. 4, 1980) was Mexico On January 5, 1982.

The first foreign country President Reagan visited after his
inauguration (Jan. 20, 1981) was Canada on March 10, 1981.

I apologize for the typo.

It should read:

The first foreign country that President Reagan visited after
being elected President ( Nov. 4, 1980) was Mexico On January 5, 1981.

Very well done. Don't worry about the typo - it was fairly obvious
that you meant 1981. Good job :)

bobbie7 - please reread your answer for any typos, the information is
incorrect and does not make sense as posted. How could the first
country he visited as president elect be a the year after his first
visit as president?
