Question ID: 194544
I am a single person and own a home in Tempe, Arizona with an
unfinished backyard and I’m interested in buying a swimming pool.

What I’m searching for is the best type of permanent, in-ground pool
to get, (and not necessarily a diving or play pool), but specifically
pools that have a safe non-chlorinated pool cleaning process. In
addition to that, if I were to add a Jacuzzi, should it be part of the
pool or should it be a separate item (what are the pros and cons of
this)? The answer should also include names of reputable local
valleywide (Phoenix metropolitan area) pool companies with good prices
and a great reputation.

Hi pmiem,

In my opinion, the very best you could do is look in the Yellow Pages
for companies that build pools. There are several different ways to
do a non-chlorinating clean - such as Ozone, Salt, etc. What you need
to do is call and set up appointments for a consultation at your home.

You can also ask your neighbors who they have used and recommend.

I called my pool company, B&L Pools and they told me (the big two)
Shasta and Paddock are in Tempe, and suggested Shasta. I'm sure there
are many more.

I receive a wonderful free little magazine 4 times a year from
Poolife, and you might call them and ask for them to send you some of
their editions.

Best regards,
