Few pre-schools in Manhattan accept children that are 2.1 (2 years 1
month). Some do, but are full up. I'm looking for schools on the
Upper East side that would accept my son, who will be 25.5 months old
at the start of the September 2003 season. In other words, schools
that still have vacancies or cancelations.

A partially useful answer would be daycare programs that are oriented
toward education, ie. as school-like as possible. Again, UES only.
Feel free to email directly. Thanks in advance.

Hello!

I came across two website that might be useful to you. They have
listing of pre-schools and day care centers in NY. Since this is a
mere listing, the information does not mention the vacancies in
September 2003 or age eligibility.

I would suggest you call these schools (the telephone numbers are
there on the website) and ask your specific requirements.

The web page links are:

http://www.syrahoo.com/hoocat_c_elementary.php3 [May links to school
sites don't work in this site]

Hope that helps.

Thank you very much for your time, but the information I need is very
specific, ie. vacancies at that age. Thanks again!
