What have total industry capital expenditures (as would be listed in a
financial statement) in the hotel industry been for each year since
1983, as a percentage of industry revenues?

Industry standard for Hotel CapEx is 3%.

If you are thinking all of planet Earth, you need to define hotel. ie
in the USA, we would typically add motels to hotels and we might
include campgrounds, RV parks, and resorts of some kinds.   Neil
