Hello, First, download this .zip file and check out the .fla file in it: http://www.tufat.com/flashtest.zip Now here's the problem: I want to load an external JPG file into a Macromedia Flash movie, and when clicked, it should lead to an external URL. In addition, the JPG must (for reasons not stated) be loaded into _root (_level0) of the movie, not _level1, _level2, etc. and not into a movie clip "container" that sits on _level0 As you can see by my sample download, I can easily get the JPG to load via loadMovie( <path to JPG>, this ), where 'this' is the same thing as _root. However, I am not sure how to make it clickable once loaded to activate the getURL method. I'm using Macromedia Flash 5. Thanks, Darren |

Its quite easy . First create a blank nutton equal to the size of the external jpg , then using "actions" assign a URL to it and then paste the jpg over it. It works fine. If ure still confused i can send you the solution as a .fla file. |
