I've had much difficulty finding a supplier of low-cost merchandise
that I can resell or give away as promotional products. I need to find
a supplier that meets all the following specifications:

1. Provides a wide selection of merchandise under $3-5 USD cost
2. Products can be resold or given as promotional items
3. Provides fulfillment (packaging/shipping) direct to customer
address I supply
4. Total cost of product+fulfillment (including shipping) for variety
of items must be $5 USD or less

Most web businesses cater to high-value products because of the high
shipping cost, but I've found enough similar companies that I know
there has to be somone out there meeting this niche of low-value
gift/promotional merchandise.

If you need a better idea of what I am looking for, I need to find
suppliers that provide incentive/reward/promotional type merchandise
such as what you find on those "just pay shipping" sites or "free
gift" offers that come in your credit card statements. Their typical
$5.95 charge for "just shipping" covers not only shipping but the cost
of the item.

I can find plenty of wholesale or drop-ship suppliers that ship UPS,
but in order to keep the total cost under $5 ea, I need to find a
supplier that uses cheaper mailing such as USPS first class mail on
small low-weight, low cost items.

I have found one company, silvercarrot.com that does provide this type
of product and fulfillment. You can see the type sample of a site they
operate at
http://shop.store.yahoo.com/your-free-present/index.html

The problem is that they only offer it as part of their "system" when
people sign up for their service. I need a company that offers the
same type of products and fulfills orders, but would allow me to
freely resell those products without promoting their own service.

If an answer provides something I can actually use rather than a
starting point for more of my own research, I would be willing to up
the payout. I would consider the following to provide the best answer:

* if possible, provide several suppliers as a basis for comparison
* suppliers that can also ship internationally at a higher cost are
preferred
* suppliers that may also offers higher value items are acceptable
* suppliers that would allow online or automated ordering are
preferred
* I will require supplier to handle 200-1000+ orders per month
* discount/closeout merchandise is okay
* In <$5 price range, VARIETY of merchandise is most important factor
* Under $5 total fulfillment cost is more important than qualtiy
* Second best are sites than can do the same for an under $10 total
cost

I'm NOT looking for typical corporate rewards like pens, stickers,
desk calendars, paper products, etc. The sample link to the yahoo
store above or yourfreepresent.com operated by the same company is the
best example of products that can be purchased wholesale for under $5
but have much more perceived value than items typically offered by
corporate reward sites.

At your request I can provide more info.

Thanks
