Using a meeting request in Outlook, why would two of the many people
who got the meeting request receive the scheduled time as 1 hour
earlier then what I sent it out as? I.E. I have an 11:00 meeting
that I sent a meeting request out to many people in using Outlook
through our Exchange 5.5 server. Two people received the meeting time
as 10:00. Could this be a time zone setting on their computer? The
clocks all do say the same thing though, so it isn't the clock being
wrong.

Greetings snevey_rt,

I'm happy to help you out with the problem you are having with certain
users having meeting requests marked as an hour off in Outlook. Most
likely your problem is indeed related to a time zone setting or even
more likely the setting for "daylight savings time" in the Date/Time
area of the control panel on the affected computers.

Please see the following article from Microsoft's Technet
knowledgebase which describes how Regional and time settings affect
meeting requests in Microsoft's Outlook application:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;en-us;186166&

I would recommend that you go to START --> SETTINGS --> CONTROL PANEL
--> DATE/TIME on the affected computers. (You can access the same
settings by double-clicking on the time in the taskbar) Click on TIME
ZONE and first make sure that the correct time zone is selected, then
make sure that "Automatically adjust for daylight savings time" is
checked. Once these settings are correct and/or match the other users,
the problem should clear up. If not, please don't hesitate to "ask for
clarification" and I'll be happy to help you troubleshoot the problem
further.

Note that existing appointments will not automatically change, only
new ones will be affected.

Sincerely,
PWizard
