Hi welday007,
Microsoft Outlook 2000 can be installed in one of two modes: Internet
Mail Only or Corporate Workgroup. According to the following
Microsoft knowledge base article, only the Corporate Workgroup mode
allows the removal of forms:
OL2000: (CW) How to Remove a Custom Form from a Folder
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=198501
"These procedures only apply if you have installed Outlook with the
Corporate or Workgroup (CW) option. This option allows you to use
Messaging Application Programming Interface (MAPI) services. To
determine your installation type, on the Help Menu click About
Microsoft Outlook. In About Microsoft Outlook you should see
'Corporate' if you have the Corporate Workgroup installation.
Note: The Internet Mail Only version of Outlook does not allow
deletion of forms. They can only be replaced."
The above quoted text tells you how to determine in which mode your
Outlook 2000 was installed. Just click on the Help menu and then
click on 'About Microsoft Outlook.' You will see either 'Corporate'
or 'Internet Mail Only' at the top of the dialog box.
If your Outlook 2000 was installed in Internet Mail Only mode, you can
convert it to Corporate Workgroup mode. The following Microsoft
knowledge base article describes how to do that:
OL2000: Switching from One Installation Type to Another
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;195507
"To change the installation type from IMO to CW, follow these steps:
1. On the Tools menu, click Options.
2. On the Mail Delivery Tab, click Reconfigure Mail Support.
3. On the E-mail Service Options page, click to select the mail
support option you are switching to. Click Next.
4. Read the warning message and then click Yes. Outlook will close.
5. Start Outlook. The Windows Installer will start and install the
required files."
Once your Outlook 2000 is in Corporate Workgroup mode, you can remove
forms. The first article describes how to do that:
OL2000: (CW) How to Remove a Custom Form from a Folder
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=198501
"To remove a form you no longer need, follow these steps:
1. Right-click the folder the form was published in, and then click
Properties.
2. On the Forms tab, click Manage, and then click Set.
3. In the Set Library To window, select the forms library or folder
that contains the published form, and then click OK.
4. Click to select the form, and then click Delete.
To access the Forms Manager without selecting a folder, follow these
steps:
1. On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Other tab.
2. Click Advanced Options, and click Custom Forms.
3. Click Manage Forms.
The Forms Manager will be displayed with the Organization Forms on the
left and Personal Forms on the right. Either group can be changed by
clicking Set for that group."
There is also a way to make the "The form for this item has not been
registered in this folder..." warning message go away. The following
Microsoft knowledge base article describes how to do that:
OL2000: Why Outlook Displays a Security Warning Message When You Open
an Item
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;207913
I hope this helps.
Regards,
