What is the bit-rate of the existing mpeg files? If it is VCD
compatible bit rate, all it would
take is to use a standard dvd-r writing software and burn it to dvd.
If your dvd player knows
how to play a mpeg1(VCD) stream on a DVD(typically mpeg2), it should
show up fine.
If the video you have is in mpeg2(DVD complaint format), you need to
re-encode the
mpeg using programs such as tmpgenc. All that is different between
the various formats
such as vcd, dvd is the bit-rate and the header information, apart
from the file structure
and naming convention(which should be automatically handled by the dvd
writing s/w,
as you import your mpeg file).

Thanks.
I have "MPEG 1 layer2, bit rate 224".
I can burn the mpeg files to vcd, which allow 80 minutes only.
Instead, I want to burn them into DVD but not as DVD format, which
will allow about 2 hours but as VCD format, which should give me much
more time. This I did not succeed with NERO: wiith the DVD-R, trying
to burn as DVD will allo the same 2 hours and trying to burn as VCD
into the DVD-R, the NERO did not accept and asked to "replace to
appropiate media".
