I have had a serious accident because my BMW R1100R, model year 1996 motorcycle (VIN WB1040201TO368710) while starting to move in first gear at a stop light has suddenly strongly accelerated without a proportional throttle grip movement throwing me against the cars ahead of me. Any such cases reported or any explanation for it? Manufacturer representative ignores my claim considering it impossible. |

The words "unintended acceleration" are used in the U.S. Search around using Google. "BMW Motorcycle recalls" and various combinations of these words, with and without the quotes, may yield more information. http://webbikeworld.com/BMW-motorcycles/r850r-recall.htm, http://www.mvengr.com and www.bikerhelp.com/recall.htm |
