Hello.

No, the site that you found is NOT an official site. It's a private
company.

On another version of the site, they actually list this disclaimer at
the top of the page:
"USA Immigration Services is not affiliated with the Immigration and
Naturalization Service"
http://www.visas-usa.org/index1.htm

The site also operates under the name US Green Card Center:
http://www.usgreencardcenter.com/

Here is the Washington DC Better Business Bureau's description of the
company:
"USA Immigration Services ...
Company is not related to the US government or its immigration
services. The Washington address of the company is that of a known
mail receiving/forwarding service. The actual physical location of the
company is not known. The phone number listed in our system was
provided by a customer of the firm and is in the Massachusetts area
code. Consumers are advised to be cautious in use of private services
to process forms and applications for government programs for a fee.
Normally, one is not charged to file most forms with a government
body. Check first directly with the government agency for its
requirements and fees, if any. Official looking web sites may be
private companies. As in any transaction, know who you are dealing
with before providing private information and paying fees."

----------

The official site is the U.S Bureau of Immigration and Citizenship
Services:
http://www.immigration.gov/graphics/index.htm

"How Do I Participate in the Diversity Visa Lottery Program?"
http://www.immigration.gov/graphics/howdoi/divlott.htm

If you want to get an immigrant visa, the official site is:
U.S. Department of State
Bureau of Consular Affairs
Visa Services
http://travel.state.gov/visa;immigrants.html

Also see the Department of States' instructions the 2004 lottery:
http://travel.state.gov/DV2004.html

search strategy:
usais.org
bbb.org: usa immigration
diversity lottery visa, site:gov

I hope this helps.

Does the address provided in the website is a private address or US
government address? Because I sent a letter to that address already.

I'm assuming that you mean this address:

U.S.A. Immigration Services
2020 Pennsylvania Avenue NW #610
Washington, DC 20006
U.S.A.

No, that's not a US government address.

"The Washington address of the company is that of a known mail
receiving/forwarding service."
http://www.dc.bbb.org/report.html?compid=W1020496&national=Y

If you sent it to a different address, let me know, and I'll check it
out for you.
