How do you uninstall MS Outlook 2000? I went to Add/Remove Programs,
highlighted MS Office 2000 (with the CD in the drive), and clicked on
Change. I was next taken to a screen where I clicked on Add or Remove
Features. The next window listed the various components of Office, one
of which was Outlook. I highlighted Outlook and clicked on Update Now.
I assumed the removal process would then begin, but it did not.
Instead, I was quickly presented with a little window "setup completed
successfully." From what I was able to determine, absolutely nothing
had taken place.

Hi again nautico,

Ok, it sounds as though you missed step # 5 (click X Not Available).
Here are the directions from Microsoft:

"How to Remove Outlook 2000 from Windows 2000

   1. On the Start menu, point to Settings, and then click Control
Panel.
   2. Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
   3. Click to select the Microsoft Office 2000 check box, and then
click Change.
   4. In the Office 2000 Maintenance Setup dialog box, click Add or
Remove Features.
   5. Click Microsoft Outlook for Windows, click X Not Available, and
then click Update Now.
   6. Click OK.

NOTE: This process does not remove all of the Outlook 2000 program
files from you hard disk. The registry entries and the icons for
Outlook are either disabled or removed."
