Exit Art is the coolest cultural center in the country. We give young
artists an opportunity to  be exposed to a larger public. Exit Art is
a forum for what is going on in popular culture. We are in the
forefront of political, social and aesthetic ideas, reaching a global
public with our inter disciplinary exhibitions in our new 17,000 sq ft
space in Hell's Kitchen in New York City, and on our new website,
www.exitart.org. We need your financial support. We are looking for
unique individuals who want to share in our vision and madness, who
are visionaries in their own fields. We know you are out there, we
just don't know how to reach you. How do we find those individuals,
companies, partnerships, angels, foundations who are willing to share
in our vision at this most critical time through grants, donations
etc.?

I don't think that the Researchers here will be able to guarantee
anything, but we can probably find potential sources of funding.  How
many potential sources would be sufficient for an answer?

We're not really looking for a long list of foundation and grants
organizations. We subscribe to an online grants database, and have one
full time and a part-time grant writer on staff.  What would make us
happy? Finding an arts patron that would like to be involved with
supporting a space where young artist can get a chance. Along with
construction, administration, and salary costs, we also have some
exciting Web projects we would like to fund. So we are looking for not
the run of the mill arts foundation, we probably get money from them
already, please see our website, exitart.org, and under "about exit
art" check "funders", for our list of arts funders. We are looking for
unique individuals that want to get involved that might have a
foundation or other foundations than those that fund us.

Hi, Ladygold. What you're looking for, certainly exists, and I know
only two ways to find it: method and luck, both of them. What you
need, imho, is a professional fundraiser. Is that grant writer on your
staff one? If yes, that's the way to go. If not, try to get one, or to
make one out of him/her. All I can offer you, is the basis of
professional fundraising, the method. (Luck is up to you ;-) If the
basis for fundraising method were a good answer for you, please let me
