Hello dacada-ga, These words are sometimes confused, but they have different grammatical functions. "Sell" is a verb, while "sale" is a noun. http://www.dbu.edu/uwc/QR_Flyers/Grammar/WordsthatSoundAlike.pdf Thus, if you were to use both words in a sentence, it would look like something like this: "You sell your old fondue pot at a yard sale." "Sail/Sale/Sell" Common Errors in English http://www.wsu.edu:8080/~brians/errors/sail.html I hope that this information is helpful. - justaskscott-ga Search terms used on Google: sell sale grammar | |
