Veterans with anything BUT a dishonorable discharge are eligible for
burial in a VA national cemetery, according to the “Burial Benefits”
portion of “Federal Benefits for Veterans and Dependents”. You’ll
find the burial benefits on page 44 (because this is an Adobe Acrobat
document, they start on page 52 of the 122-page Acrobat document):
Veterans Administration
"Federal Benefits for Veterans and Dependents" (2003)
http://www.va.gov/pubaff/fedben/Fedben.pdf

A complete list of military and national cemeteries for the United
States is available from the Veterans’ Administration (VA):
Veterans’ Administration
"National Cemetery Administration"
http://www.va.gov/sta/guide/division.asp?divisionId=4

One of the best-known, Arlington National Cemetery, just across the
river from Washington, DC, has these rules that appear slightly
tighter:
Arlington National Cemetery
"A Guide to Burial at Arlington National Cemetery" (undated)
http://www.arlingtoncemetery.org/funeral_information/guide.interment.html

There also are 24 military cemeteries overseas which are managed by
the American Battle Monuments Commission:

Please let us know if this is adequate information to meet your needs.
