do any of the searchers at google routinely do specific healthcare
searches on things like finding clinical trial protocols and
identifying investigators, etc? i'm looking for someone to do these
types of competitive intelligence searches. |

There are a number of sites on the web that are devoted to compiling,
and making available, information on clinical trials. Are these the
type of things you are looking for, or is it something else you're
after?

no. we're familiar with the usual sites that compile specific
clinical trial information. what we're looking for will be
occassional additional information on a given drug in development. a
lot of times different investigative centers will put up a protocol on
the internet, but it takes a while to find them all. that's the
reason we're thinking about "farming out" these occasional projects,
but it only really makes sense for us if we're working with someone
who has done these sorts of things in the past and knows the tricks to
searching for this information. i realize that your answer may be
that there is not a dedicated person who does a lot of this
healthcare-specific searching, but i thought i'd give it a try.
thanks

I would suggest "farming one out" right here, and giving us a try.
You'd be amazed at what some of the GA researchers here have
uncovered. And there are a number of us with medical or biological
backgrounds, to boot.
Take a look at the answer given here, about adverse events reporting
for pharmaceuticals, to get a bit of a feel of some of our
capabilities:

Bottom line is: If you get a satisfactory answer, then you win. If
no one can answer your question to your satisfaction, then you're only
out the 50 cent listing fee.
Just a thought....
