Hi, pink!

I have an art project assignment to draw a sculpture face detail using
"graphing" (dividing the original into grid squares, then drawing the
contents of each square on its larger counterpart on my drawing.

Can you find me some nice faces from Greek or Roman statues
(preferably female)?

Thanks,

ace

Hi, Ace!

Here are some classical faces for you:

Virtual Roma: Aspasia
http://www.vroma.org/images/mcmanus_images/aspasia.jpg

University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee: Athena
http://www.uwm.edu/Course/mythology/0500/708d.jpg

University of California, Berkeley: Hera

After noodling around with Google Images, using phrases such as
"statue," "head," "greek," and "roman," I found the best results by
searching for the names of individual goddesses. I found Aspasia
rather by accident while looking through this page, which has links to
many other images:

Thanks for the interesting project. I love looking at noble
antiquities. Perhaps that is why I do not flinch when I approach a
mirror. ;-)

Best,
Pink

I'd love to see your finished project, but the link doesn't work for me. :-(
