Hello Spitfire, Thank you for accepting my comment as the official answer. It appears that the song youre referring to is Television Generation a 1977 single by the Kursaal Flyers. You can read more about them here: http://groups.google.com/groups?q=%22Television+Generation%22+Kursaals&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&selm=8426%40emory.mathcs.emory.edu&rnum=1 The Kursaal Flyers, a British band started in mid 1975 and broke up in 1977. Out of the members, only Will Birch and John Wicks stayed active and they formed the Records. Here are a couple of references to the song Television Generation: "Television Generation," by the Kursaal Flyers, a precursor of the Records: "T-t-t-television, G-g-g-generation......." http://www.mail-archive.com/audities@binhost.com/1998-month-04/msg00627.html Back in 1978, well before MTV, a British pub-rock band called Kursaal Flyers lamented a "television generation ... raised on Bugs Bunny and double your money," http://www.rollingstone.com/reviews/cd/review.asp?aid=66291 The Kursaal Flyers Biography http://shopping.yahoo.com/shop?d=product&id=1927015000&clink=dmmu.artist&a=b Kursaal Flyers Discography http://www.kursaalflyers.net/discography.htm The song Television Generation is included on the albums listed here: http://entertainment.msn.com/search/?tp=3&ss=television+generation Search Criteria: "television generation" Best wishes Bobbie7-ga |

I was waiting for bobbie7-ga to release this question, hoping that I had found an answer that she had not. But she has found the same answer that I have. Even though I can't find the additional lyrics either, I feel quite sure that bobbie7-ga has located the song you want. |

5-1-2003 If you're looking for lyrics, just for your information the official site, kursaalflyers.net has an e-mail contact and a message board--perhaps sending an e-mail message or posting your lyrics request on the message board might garner a response from a group member or from a fan who has the album. RESPECTFULLY, 4keith-ga |
