I need your assistance on the MediSend project. We are trying to find
a direct contact in Iraq. Here's a challenge for you...
I am trying to reach two doctors in Mosul, Iraq (northern Iraq), who
were interviewed by AP a few days ago. They seemed to be very
knowledgeable about the health crisis and medical needs there--someone
who may assist us in working out the inventory of medical equipment
and supplies for our shipment.
1. Dr. Ghassan Dolami, a former Iraqi army physician, 36 yo,
hematologist. He already might be working with our military medical
corp. He is on staff at the hosp where members of Saddam's 5th Corps
once received medical care. He and his colleagues are treating some
300 people on an outpatient basis daily for illnesses and trauma,
without a lot of supplies.
2. Dr. Abdel Hasan, hosp director (not sure if same hosp as Dolami)
reported that he needs everything from beds to medicine and equipment.
I believe they both were interviewed by David Rising of AP or his
affiliate at the Middle East Bureau (www.ap.org).
Rising has an email address at Indiana Univ. Rising's article
