There are several fast, English-speaking sites that have information
on hotels in Rimini, Italy. Here are the top picks:
Travelweb
http://www.travelweb.com/
Basic information and prices ranges are listed for all hotels. Most
hotel listings include photos, online booking, and interactive maps
provided by MapQuest. Whether or not the listing includes photos or
maps is up to the individual hotelier, but most listings from the
major hotel chains include both.
Expedia
http://www.expedia.com/
Expedia, like TravelWeb, has both maps and pictures on a per-hotel
basis. Expedia uses Microsoft MapPoint\NavQuest interactive maps. The
search takes a few moments to process, however, once the search is
complete the results are very compact and show most of the major
information without needing to click on any sub-pages.
TravelEurope, Rimini
http://www.traveleurope.it/itinerari/r/rimini.shtml
From my initial search, TravelEurope appeared to have fewer hotel
listings than TravelWeb or Expedia, however, it had photos, prices and
interactive maps for all of the listings in my search results.
Many smaller sites are likely to offer the same or similar information
as you will find on these three, as a large percentage of
sites--particularly those that offer online bookings--actually pull
from the same system to get much of their data. (If you're curious you
can read more about the history of this system here:
http://www.pegs.com/)
If you need more information or advice about the area, you should
consider contacting the local tourist bureau for the city. Tourist
bureaus are often very helpful, and can give you lots of advice that
someone who is not from the region simply can't provide. Many are
equipped to deal with English speakers.
Province of Rimini, Department of Tourism (includes information for
city of Rimini)
http://www.turismo.provincia.rimini.it/eng/
There are several tourism offices in Rimini, but I believe this is the
one you want:
Tourist Information Office
Piazzale F. Fellini, 3
tel. 054156902 - fax 054156598
infomarinacentro@comune.rimini.it
If it's not, I'm certain that they will be able to direct you to the
one that can help you.
I hope this answers your question. If you need any further
clarification, do not hesitate to ask.
Happy travels,
