Dear dalls,

The theme song at the beginning of the 1969 movie "What's Good For The
Goose", bearing the same title as the film itself, was recorded by the
British band "Pretty Things":

"In the summer of 1968 the Pretty Things took time off from recording
SF Sorrow to appear in the movie 'What's Good For the Goose', a
vehicle for the famous British comic actor Norman Wisdom. The group
provided the film's theme song as well as playing in the night club
scenes, where the lip-synched to the other tracks that would make up
the More Electric Banana album."

The title theme "What's Good For The Goose" and four other of their
songs that were part of the movie ("Blow Your Mind", "Alexandra",
"Never Be Me" and "Eagles Sun") were later in 1969 released by the
Pretty Things in the UK under their pseudonym "Electric Banana" on the
LP "More Electric Banana" (Label: DeWolfe, DW/LP-3123). Unfortunately,
there is no legal CD version of that very rare LP or the songs on it
to the present day; only some illegal bootlegs featuring those
recordings exist. So finding a recording of "What's Good For The
Goose" as played at the beginning of the movie would be, alas,
extremely difficult, if not almost impossibe.

I would like to add that the vocals of the title version of "What's
Good For The Goose" were done by band member Phil May.
