My subscription to Norton AntiVirus expired with no warning. It took
a while to figure out why I could not access my email. I finally went
online and resubscribed to NAV and entered the new number in the
software. When I pressed enter there was a wierd blip on screen but
then apparently no problem. Except when I opened Netscape the program
did not find my user profile (email, preferences, bookmarks, etc.)
They are still on my hard drive where they've always been under
Netscape Mail\Mozilla\Profiles\myusername\el99vy8n.slt\Mail but
Netscape can't recognize the profile. (What is that e199vy8n.slt
directory?)

I contacted Norton and was told to check for viruses which I did and I
don't have any. After several emails they claim to have never heard
of this problem before and told me it was a Netscape problem. I've
searched Netscape support pages for help and have found nothing
related to this issue.

A Google search turned up the exact problem with Netscape and NAV 2000
and the suggested fix was to delete inbox.snm file and rename
inbox.sbd---->inbox.snm. I not sure I should do this as it references
NAV 2000 and I'm using 2002. Also I don't have a file named
inbox.snm--only one named inbox.sbd.

I have years worth of email I can't access and even the backups are of
no use. Can anyone help?

I'm using PC with Windows NT 4.0 service pack 6, 256 meg ram, 20 gig
of space open on hard drive. Cable modem service through Roadrunner.
