Hello bookfarm! It was fun finding your answer. I called the Newberg Chamber of Commerce and was directed to the local newspaper: The Newberg Graphic. Two people there were very helpul. One was Beth Nistler, she provided the name of the individual that keeps the rainfall records, and Gary Allen provided the telephone number. The Newberg Graphic calls Lewis Schaad (or his brother Clarence) for the annual rainfall statistics they publish in the newspaper. Lewis Schaad of "Rex Hill Rainfall" is the person I spoke with. Contact him at: (503) 538-2006 Here is the information you requested: January: 8.99 inches Febuary: 3.53 inches March: 6.99 inches April: 5.67 inches May 1 thru 4: .31 inches _______________________ Total, YTD: 25.49 inches --Cynthia Search strategy: Described above. |
