I am looking for a source of cheap accessories for my Unimat-1 Classic hobby mill. The system is great, but the accessories needed to convert it into a flat-bed milling machine are exhorbitant. I would like to find a source of the extruded aluminium sections compatible with those they use for the Unimat system. Alternatively (perhaps better) I'd like to find a third-party supplier of Unimat-compatible accessories. As a final alternative, I'd accept a really cheap discount supplier that will ship to the Far East. I don't need answers to all of these, just some solution that'll allow me to convert my existing unit into a flat bed mill. The manufacturer's website http://www.thecooltool.com/index_e.php Example of what I need to build http://www.thecooltool.com/zubehoer.php?language=e&status=30&z_id=51 |

Aluminum extrusions sources: Bosch (metric extrusions and such (probably what you need): http://rexroth.starlinear.com/framing_ec/index.asp 80/20 English unit (inches and such) exrusions (probably not what you need for Unimat, but I don't know for sure whether the Unimat extrusion profiles are metric or English): www.8020.net (The 80/20 stuff is somewhat cheaper than the Bosch.) |
