The correct answer to this question will result in me finding a client
(employeer). It will NOT qualify as a correct answer until I am
actually employeed. Leads are appreciated, but leads are NOT the
answer. I have used up my search capability (personal contacts,
newspapers, online job sites, and professional staffing agencies).

As you may know, many companies have laid-off and are no longer hiring
software engineers because of the weak economy. The San Diego area
has been especially hard hit. Because of this situation, independent
contractors (1099), like myself, have had a very difficult time
staying employeed.

Being located in North San Diego County (Encinitas) CA, I am
interesting in finding a company in this general location (from
Sorento Valley to Oceanside and Escondido). A work-st-home or
telecommute is also okay if only a small amount of travel is required.

Thank you in advance for all the help!

How can a researcher guarantee a job for you? We are not an employment
agency. Therefore, all we can do is provide you with leads. Since you
say leads are "not acceptable," and we are not in the position to
guarantee you employment, I believe this question is totally
unanswerable!

You have not specified your salary requirements.

The salary requirements are open to negotiation. However, to give you
some idea, I would assume $95-100/hr depending upon length of
contract, type of work, commute time, etc. This is WELL BELOW agency
rates in San Diego.

There is no answer at this time.
