The correct answer to this question will result in me finding a client
(employeer). It will NOT qualify as a correct answer until I am
actually employeed. Leads are appreciated, but leads are NOT the
answer. I have used up my search capability (personal contacts,
newspapers, online job sites, and professional staffing agencies).
As you may know, many companies have laid-off and are no longer hiring
software engineers because of the weak economy. The San Diego area
has been especially hard hit. Because of this situation, independent
contractors (1099), like myself, have had a very difficult time
staying employeed.
Being located in North San Diego County (Encinitas) CA, I am
interesting in finding a company in this general location (from
Sorento Valley to Oceanside and Escondido). A work-st-home or
telecommute is also okay if only a small amount of travel is required.
Thank you in advance for all the help!

software lead, I have developed leadership skills and have conducted
customer presentations. I was granted a Bachelor of Science degree in
computer science from Purdue University in 1988.
I have worked on several different kinds of systems, including combat
aircraft, sonar systems, various communication systems, and consumer
electronics (digital cameras and FotoShow).
BACKGROUND DETAILS:
SYSTEM ENGINEER:
Highly experienced at developing and documenting software requirements
for real-time embedded software systems, including both single and
multi-processor systems.
* Embedded portion of the real-time Joint Communications Simulator
(JCS) and Communications, Navigation, and Identification Simulator
(CNIS) simulators
* Skywriter Radio Frequency Generation Subsystem (RFGS), real-time
communications simulator subsystem
SOFTWARE ENGINEER:
Proficient at defining, designing, and integrating software for
real-time embedded systems, including multi-processor systems.
* Implemented VxWorks BSP and responsible for the bring-up of multiple
communication system boards
* Implemented USB Host and Device services on the MPC823 processor
* Designed and implemented embedded portions of a digital camera and
the Iomega FotoShow product
* Software Lead for the embedded portion of the Joint Communications
Simulator (JCS), real-time Communications, Navigation, and
Identification (CNI) simulator
* Designed and defined the embedded software for the JCS simulator
* Software Lead for the Skywriter Radio Frequency Generation Subsystem
(RFGS), real-time communications simulator subsystem
* Designed, defined, integrated, and documented the software portions
of the RFGS simulator, including the user interface, and hardware
control and communications interfaces
* Defined, designed, and integrated the user interface and control
modules for a MILSTAR communication satellite simulator, including the
development of real-time software to emulate a satellite's uplink and
downlink protocols
* Responsible for developing software for a sonar user interface and
systems moding and control and integrating 50,000 lines of code into a
multiple TMS320C30 processor based sonar system
* Defined, developed, and integrated the software units that control
the LANTIRN targeting pod and Air to Ground guided weapons on a
fighter aircraft
