Dear Flavorflanks,

Yes, I do know of a place where you could find your antipode.

First of all, may I note that your could also calculate it without the
following site. You rotate your longitude 180 degrees and flip your
latitude's north vs. south.

In other words:

If Fargo (ND) is at

latitude: 46 degrees, 89 minutes north
Longitude: 96 degrees, 8 minutes west

The opposite would be :
latitude: 46 degrees, 89 minutes SOUTH
Longitude: 83 degrees, 2 minutes EAST

This site provides the claculations:
http://www.serve.com/damien/sight/antipode.pl

This ends up somewhere in the Indian Ocean, with the closest point at
Heard Island and MacDonald Islands, as you could see in MapQuest:
http://www.mapquest.com/maps/latlong.adp (Note: when calculating
east-west and north-south values, the West and the South are always
represented in negative - subzero - values):
http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?latlongtype=decimal&latitude=-46.9&longitude=83.2

I hope this answered your question. My search terms were:
antipode, antipodes
"my antipode"
"your antipode"
"our antipode"

If you need any further clarifications, please let me know. I'd be
pleased to clarify my question before you rate it.

Since there are only 60 minutes in a degree, 46 degrees, 89 minutes
doesn't make a lot of sense. 46.89 degrees is more like it, or 46
degrees 54 minutes. The longitude numbers are also a little screwy.
If the given longitude of Fargo (96 degrees 8 minutes W) were correct,
the longitude of the antipode would be 83 degress 52 minutes E (not 83
deg 2 min). However, according to the first site I found with Fargo's
lat and long (http://www.bcca.org/misc/qiblih/latlong_us.html#NORTHxDAKOTA),
the longitude is 96 degrees 48 minutes W, giving an antipode at 83
degrees 12 minutes E.
