The duration of detection for methamphetamine in urine is 48 or more
hours. The half-life is shorter however: "In humans, the half-life of
methamphetamine ranges from 10-20 hours, depending on the urine pH
(half-life is shorter in acidic urine), history of recent use, and
dosage."

week or even more." This is, however, an unsubstantiated claim as the
writer gives no reference to how he/she knows and offers no links to
back up the claim.
An About.com site referenced drinking vinegar: "...other "sure-fire"
solutions are even worse for you. Some people drink vinegar. There are
stories of some people drinking bleach. None of these will defeat the

Regarding vitamins, herbs or other remedies besides the "headshop
miracle drinks" you referenced that will mask or remove traces of
methamphetamine from urine, I only discovered:
"Although sold as herbal supplements, these products have drug-like
ingredients such as guarana, a stimulant similar to caffeine, and
ephedra, also know as Ma huang -- a chemical cousin of "speed" or
methamphetamine. Excessive use of these products can make the heart
race. Although all of the teens treated so far have recovered, the
supplements could be dangerous to people with some undiagnosed health
problems."
If a person takes Ma Huang, they might want to inform the drug tester
to be certain its chemical properties would not be confused with those
of methamphetamine. The above information comes from

I perused numerous links on herbs and vitamins in related
methamphetamine searches but could not locate solid medical facts that
a particular vitamin or mineral assisted in dissipating traces of
methamphetamine from urine.
