Hi ksmpta,
After researching your question for the past couple of hours I have
only found a definite answer for 3 or 4 of the names you have
requested. For the others, I haven't located any source to verify your
request one way or the other. Many websites mention the names of the
children of these players but nothing about whether they play football
or not.
Hopefully another researcher will be able to find the information you
are seeking for all the players.
Regards,
rainbow~

Rainbow:

Could you send me what you DID find? If any of the sons also play football?

Any help at all would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Kelly

Hi ksmpta,
As I mentioned in my clarification, I'm afraid the information I do
have is not sufficient enough as an answer with respect to your
"complete" question. From the 3 football players' children I have
found information about, only one child plays football. Let me know
what you decide.
Best regards,
rainbow~

Hi ksmpta,

I've done more research on your question and have found various
reference to all of the players' children, except for two. Note that
sometimes the reference available is generally vague.
For example: " He lives in ... with his wife and 3 children."

It is in my opinion that if a player's child does or did indeed play
football, it would be noted in the many biographies and interviews
that I have researched through.
Would the information I have accumulated suffice as an answer to your
question?

Rainbow:

Hey! thanks for all your work. I agree with you - they woudl mention
if a child DID play football. Please let me know what you have found
- that will suffice for sure.

Thanks so much!

Hi ksmpta,

Below is the result of my research for the requested football players
and whether their children play/played football.

Since my latest clarification, I have located information on the
remaining two football players to complete the list.
As I have clarified, reference to whether the players' children played
football or not, is not always mentioned. But as we agree, if they
*did* follow their father’s footsteps, it would certainly be noted.

I have included excerpts to articles with reference to the children of
the players. From these excerpts you can assess whether the children
play football or not.

-Joe Montana-

"Of course, Joe does have two sons, 10-year-old Nathaniel and
7-year-old Nicholas. Despite his wife's occasional protestations, the
43-year-old Montana said he would not discourage them should they
choose to pursue football in earnest.
"Every now and then, my oldest boy says he wants to start learning how
to throw," Montana said. "He's built like a lamp post, though, so I
don't know.""

------------------------------------------------

-Jack Youngblood-

"Jack Youngblood lives near Orlando, Fla., in a town called Winter
Park, where he is a consultant for the Arena Football League and
fishes and hunts and raises his son, Robert.
"I think my numbers speak for themselves," says Jack Youngblood,
pictured during 1980 NFC title game, on Hall of Fame candidacy.
Robert is 16 and dabbles in football. What Robert plays, though, is
soccer.
Now when the son of Jack Youngblood can grow up in Florida a soccer
player, then you know football has made a terrible, terrible mistake.
"He's growing," said Youngblood, the former Ram defensive end,
pleased. "He eats everything that doesn't eat him first."
That's not all that unusual when it comes to Youngbloods. Football
eats its Youngbloods.
For one, Robert isn't playing it."

-Anthony Munoz-

"Former NFL offensive tackle Anthony Munoz brags about his son's play
for Tennessee after recovering from knee surgery. It's a subject the
Hall of Famer knows well.
Michael Munoz, a sophomore who plays the same position his dad did,
returned to the field this season after a year off."

-Roger Staubach-

"But I feel like I’m one of the lucky guys. The only woman I’ve ever
been involved with is my wife, who I married 35 years ago. We have
five children who are good kids. I have a great time going out, and
watching my kids play sports. People said we had a conservative life."

-John Hannah-

"Hannah, nicknamed "Hog" because of his massive 6-foot-3-inch,
265-pound body, doesn't miss football at all.
He doesn't even follow the sport. When there's seemingly nothing on
television but NFL games, you won't find Hannah cheering every
touchdown pass. Instead, he's with his children or working."
