I'm looking for a totally flat keyboard for my PC. intellikeys (http://www.intellitools.com/Products/IntelliKeys/ikeysUSB_index.htm) has a great one, but extremely expensive. For disables, there are 200 kinds of Keyboards over the net (!) but I need only a FLAT ONE, in a more reasonable price than $395... Thank you. | |

You might be interested in checking into the new "virtual keyboard" technology and see if its ripe enough to pick yet: http://optics.org/articles/news/8/3/26/1/keyboardzoomin In the meantime, here is a free computer screen keyboard you can use that allows you to type using only your mouse. http://march-of-faces.org/resources/vkt.html Regards; tutuzdad-ga |

The best that I could find are the "roll-up" keyboards - they're not completely flat, but, they are much cheaper than $395 http://www.thinkgeek.com/computing/input/keyboards/5a7f/ |

I couldn't find any of the "mat" kind either for the price range you specified but maybe these will help: The coolest thing I found my far was the IGESTURE keyboard by FINGERWORKS ($249). Its pretty flat but it also comes with a flat touch pad that responds to hand gestures. This might be real beneficial for someone who has limited traditional keyboard capabilities. You just have to see it to believe it. http://www.fingerworks.com/igest_kb.html (be sure to visit the demo page) http://www.fingerworks.com/gesture_guide_text_manip.html This one is also a pretty neat innovation. All you have to do is point your finger at a key. No pressure is necessary. BLACK IPC TOUCHPAD ($56.80) http://hwextreme.pricegrabber.com/search_getprod.php/masterid=707014/search=keyboard/ut=4252090eeb2f0e07 OKI is a manufacturer of a variety of styles of thin keyboards. They are not completely flat but some are less than 5mm thick. Perhaps one of these might suit your needs: http://www.oki.com/jp/SSG/ENG/Prod/Keyboard/index.html LOGITECH has a much more traditional keyboard they are marketing as having a zero-degree of tilt and the thinnest, flattest keyboard for only $99. It also happens to be cordless for your convenience and it doesnt depend on line of sight issues. http://www.maximum3d.com/reviews/cordlessfreedom2.htm LONGWELL also produces a super thin keyboard in traditional style: http://www.longwell.us/product/kb/lti_t202.htm Along that same line are keyboard by VIEWMATE: http://hwextreme.pricegrabber.com/search_getprod.php/masterid=564674/search=keyboard/ut=4252090eeb2f0e07 SOFTOUCH http://hwextreme.pricegrabber.com/search_getprod.php/masterid=699800/search=keyboard/ut=4252090eeb2f0e07 CLIENT2000 http://hwextreme.pricegrabber.com/search_getprod.php/masterid=21662/search=keyboard/ut=4252090eeb2f0e07 Regards; tutuzdad-ga |
