Recently I have been getting screens with only the heading "Microsoft
Internet Explorer" heading. At other times I get "this ad is not
provided by or in association with the site yopu are visiting." In
both cases I can X them out and continue normally but it is a
nuisance.

Would you like an explanation for this phenomemon as an answer or a
way to remove it? I assume that former is your question here.

Yes, Iwould like get rid of thse blank screens. Sometimes they
briefly show a web site. Uusually, however, the show only Microsoft
Internet Explorer and nothing else. Not sure what additional
information I can give you.

My guess is you have some rogue program running on your computer. I
suggest you go to the following site and download a program called
Ad-aware. If you run the program and post here what it reports, I or
some other researcher might be able to suggest what you should do
next.

Another question of mine, since I just want to make sure of something.
Do these blank IE windows appear all of a sudden as new windows? Or
are these blank window part of a page you are surfing? I assume the
first though, which would indicate pop-up ads. Thank you.
