I am trying to find a site that can give the daily closing price for a
stock over any given period. For example daily closing price for IBM
for the period 4/18/03-5//5/03

The Yahoo! Finance web site provides daily closing prices for any
stock over any period of time:

Here is how you can obtain the daily closing prices for IBM stock
between April 18, 2003 and May 5, 2003:

1) Go to the Yahoo! Finance web site:
http://finance.yahoo.com/

2) In the 'Enter symbol(s)' box at the top of the page, type "IBM"
(the ticker symbol for IBM), and then click on the 'Get' button.

3) Click on the 'Historical Prices' link in the quote box.

4) Set the 'Start' date to Apr 18 2003.

5) Set the 'End' date to May 5 2003.

6) Click on the 'Get Data' button.

You will see a table that shows the daily closing prices for IBM stock
in bold for the dates between April 21, 2003 and May 5, 2003.  The
table does not display April 18, 2003 because that was Good Friday,
and the stock market was closed on that day.
