Hello radioflyerx,

You cannot edit your question as such once it is posted. However, you
can use the "clarify question" feature, as you have in this question,
to restate your question in whatever way you wish. If you want to
start totally afresh, you can close (expire) the first question and
submit it again as a new one. In that case, however, you will still be
charged the $0.50 listing fee for the first question, as well as
another listing fee for the new one. You can also try contacting the
Google Answers editors at answers-editors@google.com to ask them to
remove the original question completely.

You can get out of paying the $2.00 by expiring this question as you
as you note that a researcher has given you the answer for free as a
comment :) Unfortunately, you will still have to pay the listing fee.

If you have any comments about what should be in the FAQ but isn't,
let the Google Answers editors know, by emailing them at
answers-editors@google.com

"You cannot edit the original text of your question, but you are able
to 'clarify' your question at any time, even when it is locked by a
researcher. Clarifying your question is a good idea if you want to add
new information to help the Researcher or if you think rephrasing your
question will make it easier for the Researcher to answer. To clarify
your question, go to "My Account" and select "My Unanswered
Questions." Choose the question you wish to clarify. Select "Clarify
Question" in the question field to open the clarification window.
Click "Post Clarification" once you've completed adding your new
information. You can also change the category that your question is
under. To do that, click on the "Change Question Parameters" button."

There's a certain fairness in all this, because researchers can't edit
their answers either. That have been a few times I wish I could have!
