QUESTION:

What are 20 national and/or international corporations known for being
BIG spenders on their executives and VIP clients -- offering very
prestigious, exclusive and expensive, VIP Trips to unusual events and
exotic locales?

Please provide a very brief description of the corporations as well as
the key contact information. I would be especially interested in
knowing who (within the corporation) arranges these VIP trips if this
information is available.

Hello again, HVB.

As I'm sure you know by know, you've asked a very tough series of
questions -- this is not a well-defined industry segment, and the type
of info you are seeking doesn't seem to have been compiled anywhere in
particular....at least not yet!

In my own searchings, I'm finding lots of contact information, and
general hints that the contacts are actively involved in high-level,
VIP type gatherings, but not much in the way of specifics beyond that.
For instance, I can probably come up with 20-30 contacts of the
following ilk:

Allison R. Chwerchak
Manager, Corporate Events
Dr Pepper/Seven Up, Inc.
Plano, TX 75024
Phone: (1) 972-673-7541
Fax: (1) 972-673-7783
Email: allison_chwerchak@dpsu.com

Sherri L. Wiseman, CMP
Conference Manager
Pacific Life
Newport Beach, CA 92660
Phone: (1) 949-219-3937
Fax: (1) 949-718-5456
Email: sherri.wiseman@pacificlife.com

National Business Travel Association
1650 King St., Suite 401, Alexandria, VA 22324
Phone: 703-684-0836
Contact: Hank Roeder, Director of Meetings & Conventions
Internet: www.nbta.org

But beyond just the contact information, I'm hard pressed to uncover
any additional details.

Let me know if you are interested in not-quite-random, but
not-quite-what-you're-looking-for-either collection of contact
information.

Yes, I would be interested as long as it's speciic corporations. You
know what I mean?

I am working with the #1 most exclusive resort in Hawaii to
create/organize one-of-a-kind "LifeStyles of the Rich & Famous" types
of super exclusive VIP retreats, vacations and unusual get-aways and I
need to know who my target marget is.... The corporations who will be
buying these.

I am specifically interested in (for instance) a corpaoation like
Merill Lynch who takes it's VIP cliennts and Executives to the Super
Bowl annually, to the Olympics in Spain and Aulstralia, etc.

Corporate Spending on Executive Retreats:

Have you checked out the "usual suspects" (i.e., Dataquest, Jupiter,
etc.). The available reports may only have general numbers on how much
money companies spend on corporate training, but they may lead to the
actual corporations who are doing the spending.

I'm kind curious why no one has appeared to check out Harvard Business
School’s executive education programs at
http://www.exed.hbs.edu/index.html

The executive education workshops at Harvard Business School cost
between $5,000 and $20,000 (includes accommodation and meals for 3 to
10 days). 10 to 50 participants per workshop.
THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I WANT as far as under the Education/University
question and in fact may also lead to information to answer the
corporate as well as the club/organization.

FYI, Harvard Business School has ~ 4,000 participants every year,
primarily from Fortune 500 companies and the Global 1,000.

AND the top 50 business schools have executive programs like Harvard.

Moreover, there are independent consulting firms and business
organizations that offer training seminars to corporations, e.g.,
Young Presidents’ Organization, Knowledge Universe, Anthony Robbins,
Stephen Covey, etc..

So the market potential is definitely there.

I'm highly surprised you guys (at Google) are finding these so
difficult.

Maybe I've worded these worng??? What do you think???

Thanks HVB...I'm going to dig into this a bit more and see if I can
come up with a meaningful list for you.

If you asked a question along the lines of: "Tell me everything you
can about..." and then listed the organizations you're interested in,
the task would be much more straightforward.

But culling the universe for 20-odd companies puts us in the position
of being a bit of a mind-reader...trying to understand exactly which
big-spending operations you're targeting, and are of the most
interest. The researchers here tend to tip-toe around questions like
that, since whatever we *think* the customer wants, it has often
turned out to be the case that they are disappointed in the answer.

Happily, though, I think your questions probably will be answered.
You've provided enough additional information at this point, that I
(or someone else) might be able to provide you what you're looking
for. And you've also shown yourself to be an understanding and
flexible individual once an answer is provided. With that kind of
track record, I think the researchers will likely venture to go where
no researcher has gone before!

Stay tuned.
