Question ID: 201131
I purchase individual parcels from the United States, which I need
sent to one address, have them consolidated and then sent to Australia
weekly/monthly. Do any reliable companies do that? Alternatively could
anyone recommend a courier company who could collect then forward
these parcels.

There are quite a number of "mail forwarding" companies that
specialize in exactly the service the require.

A site called the "Mail Forwarding Advisor" is a great source of
information about how mail forwarding works, and what the various
options are:

http://www.mail-forwarding-advisor.com/

They even rate some of the major companies...visit the site, itself,
to find links to several mail forwarding services.

Their top rating goes to USAbox at:

http://www.usabox.com/

"Welcome to USAbox.com...USAbox.com Mail Forwarding is your own postal
address in the USA. Without residing in the U.S. you can receive mail,
everything from letters to very large packages and we will forward
them to you anywhere in the world."

USAbox offers a very nice option -- they will e-mail you a list of the
items received, and you can select which items you then want
consolidated into a shipment and sent to your forwarding address. In
other words, you can have them discard any junk mail that might
arrive. They also have the option (as do most mail forwarders) of
deciding how frequently you would like to have your mail forwarded.

----------

I think the links above will probably provide you all the information
you need to select a mail forwarding service. However, there are many
such service to choose from, and if you would like to explore some
others, visit the "virtual office management" page of the Google
Directory at:

http://directory.google.com/Top/Business/Business_Services/Office_Services/Virtual_Office_Management/?il=1

There are many other mail forwarders listed here.

Thank you for your answer which is a very good beginning. However,
they are based on the east coast of the USA. I really need the
Pacific side, and preferably people specializing in Australia. Also my
parcels are larger, not under 10 pounds, when consolidated.

Hello tornado44-ga,

True to your name, I suppose, you kind of tore through to the rating
part of process a little ahead of schedule...usually, the answers are
rated after all the information is provided. I hope we'll see you
back here at GA, so I just wanted wanted to explain the process a bit
for future reference.

As for your question, here are links to two mail forwarding services
on the West Coast that should meet your needs -- they do not appear to
have weight limits or other restrictions. I did see any services that
specialize in Australia, but most of the services mentioned thus far
do have broad experience in international shipping.

Good luck.

Ooops...guess I'm doing some tearing through myself. It would help to
have attached these:

----------

http://www.oregoncoast.com/homebase/

Oregon Coast

"YOU PICK the type of mail you want forwarded, or discarded... YOU
CHOOSE how often you want the mail sent to you... You can pick a
regular schedule, or just have it sent one time and then we will wait
until you contact us again. This works very well for those on the
move. You are NEVER locked in to any schedule... You can change your
instructions as often as your plans change...We can also receive
non-postal mail & packages for you such as FedX, UPS etc... We will
hold them here for you until you contact us. We also can ship to you
by these other carriers if wanted, in the US or Internationally."

http://www.mailnetwork.com/

MailNetwork has offices all over the US, including Los Angeles, and
other cities on the West Coast

Have your mail redirected (letters & parcels up to 150 pounds)
anywhere in the world, according to the frequency you choose.
