a gracious good morning to you, kids! anyone see the West Wing last night? pretty decent episode even though it's been slidin' into the crapper lately I'm wondering if it's made it onto the various message boards what the music was in the nightclub when Zoey and JP were talking. it had a kinda trippy, E-moment sense about it. any ideas? much obliged for finding this! granny (transmitting from Club Dementia) |

Granny -- The music is the cut "Angel" from Massive Attack's album titled "Mezzanine." The link on the Amazon.com website to a portion of it is here: Amazon.com "Mezzanine" http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000006045/ref=ase_continguidetothe/002-1233535-6289659#product-details The Google search strategy: 1. Get into my daughter's favorite file to find one of the best fan sites on the web: B.E. Warne's West Wing site http://westwing.bewarne.com/ 2. See the commentary on May 7 episode: #422 "Commencement" http://westwing.bewarne.com/fourthquestions/4music.html#angel 3. Go to VCR and watch last 5 minutes of show to confirm. Now you be watchin' out for those tornadoes down there, ya' heah? Omnivorous-GA |

oh, of course, Elizabeth Fraser of the Cocteau Twins! I thought I knew that voice. thank you and your daughter's favorites file for running this down. I'll order at once. granny's about 3 decades behind in her musical styles but she knows what she likes. appreciate your VCR confirmation and hope you get to watch the full episode soon. granny's head is always like the inside of a twister, so nothing new here, sweetie. ;-) |

Thanks Chance -- I saw the episode last night. Like you, I thought that Sorkin had been slipping lately with unfocused episodes. But last night's was GOOD! I've already been scolded for giving away the ending by a teenager who was off studying. . . Thanks for the gold stars and the extra sum, O. |

Slightly off-topic here but CSI: Miami often has quite groovy music as well and I'm always missing the credits to see who was listed as the artist. I can see that I'll be asking Omnivorous-ga for some suitable links soon :) :) jem-ga |

I agree with you, jem-ga. however, granny's head only cocks to one side with tunes on her particular frequency. when she hears them she usually hunts them down with a vengence -- or now she has others to do it. ;-) thanks for your comment, kiddo, and I'll be drafting on your question. |
