Hello,

Here are a couple links to specifically persuing venture capital from
companies in India, as well as some links on how to go about it.

And although I did not specifically find VC info on the movie industry
in particular, VC companies fund a whole range of entreprenual
services, one of which is movie making. For example Taj Mahal, the
movie was backed by a number of VC funders in India and the United
States. Here's more info on that specific movie:

Sorry for not seeing eye-to-eye the first time. I focused on India VC
and not film VC. Here are some resources that should help you
including a link to a couple books dealing primarily with raising
funds for independent movies.

Your best bet is to a) buy that book, or b) contact Morrie Warshawski
at his website listed above as he deals specifically in Arts related
consulting and has written numerous books on fundraising for Arts
projects (including movies).

chinna-ga ~

Being a filmmaker myself the only advice I can give you is to learn
how to pitch your story. A film is an investment. No company is going
to give you money if they never heard of you. You have to find
investors, in the film industry we call them producers. Find anyone
with money and tell them about your script or idea, be enthusiastic
about it. That is key to getting people to want in on it, they see you
are confident in it. If they give you any money, say 1000 bucks, tell
them you'll give them an assosiate producers credit. Give that credit
to anyone who gives any amount of money, its not big position but
anyone outside of the film worked doesn't know this. Save the credit
of Producer for the person that gives you the most sum of money. That
is basicaly the only answer that will help you. Now all you ahve to do
is go and sell your film to anyone you meet. ~ Good Luck.
