Question ID: 201918
Wanted: Financial info, corp annual reports, analysis, discussions,
etc. for Neuhaus, a chocolate maker in Belgium. Company share are
listed on
Euronext Brussels and Berlin. I've checked out Yahoo Finance, they
have a chart but not much in the way of a profile or reports. 3-4
links would be good, 1-2 ok, an original in english is preferred, but
language-tools translations to english are also acceptable. It can
get ugly when the language tools try to translate financial jargon.

Hello and thank-you for your question.

INFORMATION IN ENGLISH
======================

I've found you one website in English which looks helpful:

Wright Investors Service: Company Research Report
http://profiles.wisi.com/profiles/scripts/corpinfo2.asp?cusip=C056C7810

Wright also have this:
http://profiles.wisi.com/profiles/scripts/corpinfo.asp?cusip=C056C7810

The other information available should be useful but needs
translation.

Some of it will go through the Google automatic translator, like this
report on the difficult year of 2001-2002:
http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.euronext.com%2Fextra%2Fhtml%2Fneuhaus04092002fr.htm&langpair=fr%7Cen&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&prev=%2Flanguage_tools

Also this news story dated 10/01/2002:
http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.stockexchange.be%2Fpd%2Fend13.jsp%3Flanguage%3DEN%26newsId%3D13368%26catId%3D10&langpair=fr%7Cen&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&prev=%2Flanguage_tools

INFORMATION IN FRENCH
=====================

The most recent is a Neuhaus report in French with the title
"Semi-annual results 2002-2003 (nonaudited figures)"
After being run through a translation tool it starts:
1. Principal results
"A sales turnover consolidated of 37,7 million (+ 6,1%).
 A cash-flow of exploitation of? 7,3 million (+ 21,3%).
 A cash-flow running after taxes of 5,9 million (+ 20,5%).
 A result running of 3,9 million (+ 32,5%).
 A benefit Net of 3,3 million (+ 41,6%).

The report is at:
http://www.euronext.com/extra/pdf/neu19022003fr.pdf
(Adobe Acrobat Reader required)

Online translation is available at:
Systran
http://www.systransoft.com/

(Although you can type in URLs for some translation jobs, it won't
cope with a pdf document like the company report above and you will
have to feed it a few sentences at a time.)

I have given you the Systran site because it will also handle the
Dutch material coming next!

INFORMATION IN DUTCH
====================

Investtech: chart plus paragraph of commentary:
http://www.investtech.com/be/ana/neuh.htm

A financial news story in the Belgian Tijd.net, after online
translation, starts:
"Pralinefabrikant [praline manufacturer] Neuhaus have booked a
considerable result improvement in the first six-month period of the
exercise 2002/03. The current result lane with 32.5%, of EUR 2.93
million up to EUR 3.89 million."

EXTRA INFORMATION
=================

I believe you already have this euronext information, linked to by
several sites:
euronext
http://www.stockexchange.be/pd/end07.jsp?qCode=263

It led me to further links, the best of which I have already
mentioned:
http://www.stockexchange.be/pd/end13.jsp?language=EN&isinCode=BE0003688026

"The market leader in quality pralines is Neuhaus, with a quarter or
21,200 tonnes of the market. Neuhaus was founded in 1957 and exports
to 36 countries and has 2,000 outlets. Its main competitors are Godiva
and Corne Royal. Most, 80%, of Neuhaus' turnover comes from Benelux,
France and Germany."

Please don't hesitate to ask if I can assist further with this. Just
request clarification if any links fail to work or if you have
translation problems.
