I need to know where to purchase a small number of working Quantum Dot
LEDs for a research project. These need to have attached leads or
wires so we may power them up. A specification/data sheet for these
parts is also required. |

Hi jerrydurand-ga,
It appears that QD-OLEDs are themselves still at the research phase
and have not yet been put on the market. Would the contact information
for the labs/individuals conducting this research be sufficient?

Contact information for a researcher willing to part with some
functional units that we could use is what is needed.
This is also for research, but we have no facilities to produce or
manipulate the wafers ourselves (I no longer work directly in
semiconductor R&D). What I'm hoping for is a some place where we
could buy some of these parts that have enough connection to supply
power while we perform tests for a client. There is no need for these
to be specially packaged or "production ready".

Hi again jerrydurand-ga,
Well there are a couple snags in this plan:
1. Getting a hold of these researchers is a fairly time consuming job
2. I am not a technical expert in this field, so it would be difficult
for me to determine what is usable for your purpose.
Since there appears to only be a single lab working on this project,
the contact information for these people would allow you to find out
definitively whether or not you can obtain any units that meet your
need.
I would be happy to post the contact information, however, if you
decide you want it :)

There's more than one lab, but if you have good contact information
for one of them (a person at the lab), I'll consider that enough for
the $20.
