Hi lms2, I assume that you want to disable Internet Explorer's AutoComplete feature for search boxes such as the one on the Google home page. The following article describes how to do that: Turn off AutoComplete in Internet Explorer http://netforbeginners.about.com/library/browsertips/ie/bl-ie-autocomplete.htm Here is what you need to do: 1) In Internet Explorer, click on the 'Tools' menu. 2) Click on 'Internet Options...' 3) Click on the 'Content' tab. 4) Click on the 'AutoComplete...' button. 5) Uncheck the 'Forms' box. 6) Click on the 'OK' button. 7) Click on the 'OK' button. If you have any questions about this answer, please request a clarification.
