We were about to order from Tileworks (515-993-4278) the tile called
Tumblestones (color perlite, 6 x 6 high relief decos in 4 different
patterns).  They confirmed they had the tile in stock in the quantity
we needed.  Before we could order, the company went bankrupt.  The
FDIC took over and all their stock was auctioned off.  Who bought the
tile and how can we contact them?

companies stock. Was this tile manufactured by tileworks, or only
distributed by them?

Mees Distributors Inc. in Cincinnati OH was going to order the tile
from Tileworks for us so we assume Tileworks is the manufacturer
unless they are a wholesale distributor.  We had called Tileworks just
before they went bankrupt.  They confirmed they had the quantity of
tile in stock we needed.  Shortly after the initial contact we called
back to place an order and found they were going out of business.
