Hello,

I have identified the case for the 1977 divorce of Robert S. Bennett
and Sherill *L* Bennett in Dade County.

I presume this is the same case you are inquiring about, even with the
differing middle initial.

I can give you full identification information -- case numbers and
docket information -- as well as instructions to make a request to the
courts for a copy of the case files.

The dockets are not available electronically, so I cannot supply them
to you myself as an answer to your question. Nor can I assure you
that the entire file is publicly accessible, though in most civil
court cases, most if not all of the file contents would be publicly
available.

If you would like the aforementioned details as an answer to your
question, please let me know.

Hello Boboo--

I have now found what you're looking for online for you. Miami Dade
County Court documents can be found online for $5.00. This will allow
you to access the data and print it for your records.

To conduct this research, I first conducted a Google Search for the
following terms:
miami dade county court

You may view the results of my search online. The link is
://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=miami+dade+county+court

I then accessed the Miami Dade County Clerk of Courts web site. You
may do so, as well. The link is
http://www.miami-dadeclerk.com/dadecoc/Home.asp

If you scroll down on that page, you will see that family court
records are available on the Clerk of Courts web site. The Clerk's
office writes, "The Clerk’s Office is now providing digitized images
of recorded pleadings and orders from Civil/Family/Probate Court via
their Premier Services. Subscribe to Premier Services and many
advanced features - including images - will be available from several
of the Clerk’s Office Online Services."

If you click on the link to Civil/Family/Probate Court on the left
side of the home page, you will be taken to this link:
http://www.miami-dadeclerk.com/civil/default.asp

You may then search for your particular case. I conducted a basic
search and found your case. I entered Bennett in the name entry space
and scrolled to enter "dissolution of marriage" under case type. I
then typed in 01/01/1977 to 01/01/1978 and your case was one of many
Bennetts to be retrieved.

Halfway down the first search results page, you'll see your listing.
You may click around on the information there to understand the
various codes.

Below is the case number and docket information, directly from the
Miami Dade County Courts.

Accessing the documents is easy. You just need to register and pay
$5.00 to utilize the court's "premier services."

They will then send you a password. You may then conduct the search,
just as I did to find the copy of your documents that you're looking
for.

I hope this helps. If you need any clarification or further
information, please don't hesitate to click on the "clarify" button.

I'm happy to help,

boboo -

Thanks for your question.
I believe such a document would only be made available by subscribing
to some pretty specific and high-priced legal database, if it is in
electronic format at all.

Good luck!

not true...you can access almost anything 'electronically' for free at
the county courthouses...if not imaged, you can have the hard copy
pulled.

This is definitely true in most of south florida...I viewed my own
divorce papers while sitting in line to pay a traffic fine...it was as
easy as entering just my first and last name...I saw tons of things
about me stored, all for free.
